The CUPRA Born is an unconventional challenger, bringing thrilling performance with the most modern electric powertrain technology, effortlessly combining the CUPRA brand's ethos with the future of electrification.

The CUPRA Born electric car is the next step in the brand's evolution, and electrification is critical as the automotive industry moves toward a more ecologically and responsible attitude. CUPRA has already made significant investments in the technology, introducing plug-in hybrid versions of the CUPRA Leon and CUPRA Formentor. The new period is likewise entirely powered by electricity.

CUPRA Born

The CUPRA Born features the most sophisticated pure electric powertrain technology: a choice of 150PS (110kW) or 204PS (150kW) electric engines deliver electricity to the rear wheels, and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery with a capacity of up to 58kWh delivers a range of roughly 420km. But it doesn't end there; it goes even beyond. With the addition of an e-Boost package, maximum output reaches up to 1/0kW, and battery packs up to 77kW, the CUPRA Born provides a range of roughly 540km and a longer driving experience.

Its refreshing aesthetic matches CUPRA Born's performance. The electric car is designed to make an impression and elicit strong emotions from the minute you see it. The front end presents a resolute face that exudes power with its meaningful character and sophisticated ideas from the lighting behavior, the creases in the bonnet, and the framing of the CUPRA badge.

Inside, the dynamic personality continues. The attention is squarely on the driver, as it should be in any CUPRA. Nonetheless, the cabin provides style and comfort to all passengers while also being environmentally efficient.

The interior is wrapped in various materials to create a sense of sportiness, refinement, and quality, including SEAQUA Yarn produced from recovered marine plastics in the standard bucket seats. Dinamica is used for the optional bucket seats, which are also created from recyclable materials. CUPRA's environmental sensitivity encompasses considerably more than just the electricity that drives its cars.

CUPRA Born

The CUPRA Born is a true member of the CUPRA family, from the CUPRA steering wheel to the copper accents throughout.

The high-performance electric car is equipped for a digital future, with a next-generation infotainment system, online service access, and an eco-system that includes downloadable apps, safety, and service features, as well as remote access.

Everything is accessed and intuitively from the CUPRA Born's standard floating high-definition 12-inch infotainment screen or via the newly created "My CUPRA" App if you've stepped away from the vehicle.

Whether you're on a journey or at your house, the "My CUPRA" App offers you access to controlling the CUPRA Born and gives you control over a variety of features, including charging. With 1OOkm of additional range supplied in as little as 7 minutes on a 125kW charging network, the CUPRA Born will never leave you stranded.

The CUPRA Born, on the other hand, isn't only changing the way people think about electric vehicles; it's also disrupting established sales methods.

CUPRA's second strategic pillar will adopt a new distribution strategy to meet the requirements of a new age of drivers and ensure a more efficient and sustainable sales model for the brand. In addition, the CUPRA Born will introduce an agency model, a disruptive approach that will bolster the company's internet presence.

In addition to traditional sales, the CUPRA Born will be available on a subscription basis, with a monthly charge that includes car use and other related services.

The new strategy will expand the brand's footprint in the most electrified countries and open doors to new international markets. Furthermore, the firm intends to widen its consumer base and conquer those looking for the most sophisticated technology with little environmental impact since some pieces of the model will be built from recycled plastic materials, thanks to its 540-kilometer range and stylish design.

The CUPRA Born will hasten the transition to electric vehicles while keeping a passion for automobiles and driving experiences that are based on real emotions.

Underneath the CUPRA Born is one of the most modern electrified powertrains in the world. The high-performance marque has employed a variety of powertrains in the past. However, putting up a fantastic show starts a new chapter in the brand's history.

The CUPRA Born puts the driven wheels toward the back for a more sporty feel. The electric motor in the pure EV's powertrain has a maximum speed of over 16,00O0rpm and is fitted above the rear axle in front of the center of the wheels. A single-speed transmission with a differential transfers torque, smoothing out delivery for natural performance.

There are two CUPRA Born electric cars available: the first has 150hp (110kW) and 310Nm of torque, while the second has 2O4hp (150kW) and 310Nm of torque.

The CUPRA Born electric car will also be available with an e-Boost performance pack, which boosts output to 231hp (170kW) and comes with two battery options: a 77kWh battery that delivers 0-100 km/h in just 7 seconds and a range of around 540km, and a 58kWh battery that reduces 0 to 50 km/h to only 2.6s and 0-100 km/h to just 6.6 seconds and has a range of around 540km.

CUPRA Born

Instead of exploiting the packs' weight as an advantage to produce improved dynamics, the CUPRA Born uses a water-cooled, multi-pouch lithium-ion battery system located low and centrally in the car to offer the best center of gravity and decrease the influence of the packs' weight. In addition, the CUPRA Born's body is bolted to the aluminum structure, boosting total rigidity.

Each battery choice has a net capacity of 45kWh, 58kWh, and 77kWh, respectively. Thus, the CUPRA Born is ready to compete in the real world, with a range of roughly 540km on a single charge according to the official WLTP test cycle.

The inbuilt thermal management system aids the system's efficiency by maintaining its temperature and ensuring it remains optimal. A base plate with integrated water channels connecting to the cooling circuit is also included with the battery.

But electric vehicles aren't just about range; recharge times are also a key indicator of usefulness, and the CUPRA Born is up to the task.

Using a 125kW charging point, the high-performance EV can add 100km of range in as little as 7 minutes, making normal travels as straightforward and easy as driving a combustion engine vehicle. Even if the battery pack is just 5 percent charged, it can be charged to 80 percent in 35 minutes.

The CUPRA Born electric car is versatile and can be plugged into both AC and DC charging networks, making battery replacement quick, straightforward, and painless whether you're on the road or at home.

The CUPRA Born is proof that electric cars can be fun to drive: the CUPRA Born's electrification and performance are a perfect complement.

CUPRA Born

The MEB architecture underpins the CUPRA Born electric car; the modular electric drive matrix provides a platform that CUPRA's engineers have exploited to create a vehicle unlike any other. The underpinnings combine the well-known, durable chassis technologies of front MacPherson struts with a sophisticated five multi-link architecture at the back to provide a stable base to build on and maximize the area for battery power optimization.

Weight distribution is nearly perfect 50:50 with the battery positioned centrally between the axles, and the center of gravity is slung low, providing the CUPRA Born a superb foundation architecture to tune to offer it with its undeniable CUPRA emotive feel and athletic finish.

The CUPRA Born's engineering team has gone to great lengths to ensure that it is worthy of wearing the famous copper emblem. Brake wear and tear is greatly reduced in the high-performance EV due to brake recovery, which may reach up to O.3g when the accelerator is removed; the engine serves as a dynamo to supply energy back into the battery.

The CUPRA Born's dimensions play a significant role in its dynamic ability; it's only 4,322mm long, 1,809mm wide, 1,537mm high, and has a 2,767mm wheelbase.

It takes more than technical prowess to ensure CUPRA's first pure electric car satisfies the highest standards; it also necessitates optimizing the wheels and tires. Engineers created the new tire technology utilized in the CUPRA Born to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. As a result, the CUPRA Born will be available with a 235mm wider tire to achieve the best performance while keeping the CUPRA Born's overall efficiency, in addition to 215mm tires available with 18-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels.
