With a perfect score of five stars in Euro NCAP's most recent crash test, the Mazda CX-60 Plug-in hybrid SUV has set the bar very high. The Mazda CX-60 receives five out of five stars and a score of 91% and 88% in the two categories, respectively, because it provides exceptional protection for children and adults in the case of a collision.
The Mazda CX-60's 89% grade for protecting vulnerable road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, is equally outstanding. The effectiveness of the automated emergency brake and the gentleness with which the vehicle approaches a pedestrian in the event of an inevitable accident are evaluated in this criterion. The Mazda CX-60 does admirably in these categories, especially considering its size as a big SUV.
All new Mazda vehicles since the Mazda CX-5 have scored exceptionally well in Euro NCAP's crash testing, and now the Mazda CX-60 can add its name to that list.
The new Mazda CX-60 Plug-in hybrid SUV has several additional features designed to prevent collisions and the vehicle's already impressive suite of active safety systems and ten airbags. In addition to new features like blind spot monitoring with exit warning (which sounds an alarm if a car or bike is approaching when the doors are unlocked), auto brake for oncoming traffic when turning left, and auto brake for crossing automobiles and pedestrians while backing up.
