The 2022 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is the new dream hypercar of the French house that presents new aerodynamics and improved performance. Based on the Bugatti Chiron, it was designed to maximize performance without sacrificing luxury and comfort. The French company owned by the Volkswagen Group will start production of the Chiron Super Sport in Molsheim, with deliveries expected by 2022. The price per unit is 3.2 million euros.

The aerodynamics and shapes of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport have been improved while remaining consistent with the original design of the car. The engineers have worked to ensure maximum downforce, as the car reaches 440 km / h (at this speed the lifting forces are maximum).

However, to be fast a car must cut through the air well, so the technicians, to improve the aerodynamic efficiency of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, enlarged the rear and enlarged the cross-section of the diffuser. This made it possible to reduce the rear exit area by 44 %. According to the engineers, this resulted in less drag. Overall, the rear is wider and lower; the long tail helps keep the airflow attached to the car body for as long as possible. To enhance the diffuser effect, Bugatti moved the otherwise central exhaust system to the side, with the tailpipes aligned vertically.

The front of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has also been modified and is now more oblique. Also new are the aluminium wheels with a five-spoke Y design.

The interior, opulent as per tradition, features a blend of elements such as leather and polished aluminium, along with carbon fibre applications.

Pushing the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is the well-known 8-litre W16, which has been completely revised with 100 HP more than the Chiron, bringing the total power to 1,598 hp. At the same time, the overall weight was reduced by 23 kg. Engineers made changes to the turbochargers, oil pump and cylinder head, as well as the transmission and clutch. The 1,600 Nm of torque are now available from 2,000 to 7,000 rpm.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport accelerates from 0 to 200 km / h in 5.8 seconds, reaching 300 km / h in 12.1 seconds. According to Bugatti, it accelerates from 0 to 400 km / h 17% faster than a previous Chiron.

The engineers also worked on the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport chassis. According to the manufacturer, the steering is more compatible and the shock absorbers more rigid. Changes were also made to the electronically controlled chassis that adjusts the car's settings in real-time, adapting to driving behaviour. The newly developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, optimized to ensure maximum performance at high speeds, ensure the right footprint on the road.
