Audi continues its electrification offensive with Audi Q3 45 TFSI e and Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI e compact SUVs. Both Q3 models e continue the range of plug-in hybrid models that Audi has introduced to the market since last year. The combination of the electric driving experience, easy charging and great usability in everyday life make the plug-in hybrid models from Audi extremely attractive.

Hybrid system power: 182kW (400 Nm) & Battery of 13 kWh

Both Q3 models are equipped with a 4-cylinder 1.4-litre TFSI internal combustion engine that provides 111 kW. The driveline is supplemented by a permanently activated synchronous motor (PSM), which provides 85 kW and uses the 6-speed S tronic gearbox. The sprint from 0-100 km / h is done in 7.3 seconds, and both models have a top speed of 210 km / h, while the top speed of pure electricity is 140 km / h. Both plug-in models have an all-electric range up to 50 km.

The battery has 96 prismatic cells that can store 13 kWh of electricity. The battery system has its own cooling circuit that can be connected to the air conditioning circuit, so efficient cooling is ensured even under maximum load.

Quick and efficient drivetrain

The drivetrain steering in the compact SUV models is set for high efficiency. The cars always start on electricity if it is not extremely cold. In hybrid mode, which is the primary driving mode, the driveline control distributes the operation between the petrol engine and the electric motor intelligently and efficiently. The driver can choose to drive only on electricity with the EV button.

With the EV button, the driver can switch between hybrid mode and electric driving, and at the same time a menu opens in the MMI operating system, where he can choose between two additional special settings "Battery Hold" and "Battery Charge". With these settings, the driver can choose to keep the battery charge status at the current level or to charge the battery further.

The Audi Q3 45 TFSI e and Q3 Sportback 45 TFSI e can be charged with 3.6 kW of electricity per hour, and thus a discharged battery can be fully charged in 3 hours and 45 min.
