Customers have expressed strong interest in the bZ4X, and the electric vehicle has received favorable publicity in the automotive press. This appeal has resulted in many pre-orders, even before consumers have had a chance to test drive the car.
The Toyota bZ4X electric SUV is the first model in Toyota's new 'Beyond Zero' brand, a line of vehicles that will provide more than just zero-emission driving. The electric SUVs are based on a new platform devoted to battery electric vehicles, developed using the company's world-leading and more than 25 years of technological knowledge in electrification. This is the foundation for stable, energetic performance and a spacious, adaptable interior.
The Toyota bZ4X is a genuine SUV with front-wheel or all-wheel drive options. The front-wheel drive has a 204 horsepower and 265 Nm torque front e-axle. In addition to a new X-MODE driving control system that enables safe and steady performance in slippery circumstances, the four-wheel drive variant produces 218 horsepower and 337 Nm.
A new lithium-ion battery is hidden beneath the car's floor and has a range of up to 511 kilometers (front-wheel drive model). Toyota's confidence in battery quality guarantees that it will retain at least 70% of battery capacity for up to ten years, which is covered by the original electric car warranty of up to eight years or 160,000 kilometers. An additional extended battery warranty of up to ten years or one million kilometers is activated during an annual battery health check.
Aside from its unique characteristics as an electric vehicle, the bZ4X includes Toyota's most recent multimedia and connectivity capabilities, a comfortable cabin, and a full complement of Toyota T-Mate safety and driver-aid systems.
"We are thrilled that the first Toyota bZ4X electric SUVs will soon be delivered to consumers. And our Toyota dealers around the country are ready to accept test drive reservations so that possible future owners may personally experience the car's unique features and functionalities".
