Volkswagen has steadily extended its SUV and crossover model lineup in recent years. The new Volkswagen Taigo, with its dynamic and powerful appearance, stands out in the class of compact crossover vehicles.
With the debut of the Taigo, Volkswagen now has a powerful presence in a popular price section in Europe, joining the Polo and T-Cross. The Volkswagen Volkswagen Taigo has the same ground clearance as the T-Cross, but it has a lower and longer body and is and is taller and roomier than the Polo.
Volkswagen's designers have increased their aesthetic appeal with the Taigo, which combines a charismatic, energetic, and beautiful design expression in a way that has hitherto been reserved for vehicles in higher price ranges. The deep radiator grille and headlights, linked by a brilliant LED strip (if fitted with IQ.Light), give the Taigo an expressive front appearance. The sloping roofline results in an attractive coupe-like appearance silhouette. The dark-toned headband with LED taillights and a large reflective strip provides a dynamic and distinctive style statement at the rear.
When the Volkswagen Taigo is also referred to as a coupe-SUV, one could be tempted to assume that the car's spaciousness and practicality have been compromised. However, with a length of 427 cm, the Volkswagen Taigo provides great interior room for five passengers, and the baggage compartment of 440 liters is spacious and easily accessible via the wide tailgate.
The elegant interior incorporates high-quality and high-tech solutions such as the Digital Cockpit and online infotainment systems and the newest generation of support systems such as Travel Assist to make every ride in Taigo comfortable and secure.
The Taigo model line comprises four equipment lines and three engine types, each with a 5 or 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The new Volkswagen Taigo has a starting price of 31,500 euros for a 1.0 TSI with 95 horsepower and a 5-speed manual gearbox, although this equipment option will not be available until the summer of 2022. With the debut of the Volkswagen Taigo at the end of December, the model starts at 34,200 euros for the Taigo Life 1.0 TSI with 95 horsepower. This model comes standard with many features, including a Digital Cockpit with a 20.32 cm display, 16-inch Belmodan alloy wheels, a leather-covered multifunction steering wheel, and electrically adjustable side mirrors with heating and folding function. If greater engine power is needed, the Taigo Life is also available with a 110 hp 1.0 TSI with a 6-speed manual gearbox for 35,600 euros and with a 7-speed DSG transmission for 38,300 euros.
The next level of equipment in Volkswagen Taigo is Style. It includes standard features such as 17-inch Aberdeen alloy wheels, Sport comfort seats, Ambient lighting in the interior, Driving profile setting, XDS differential. The Volkswagen Taigo Style has a 110 hp 1.0 TSI engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox for 37,600 euros and a 150 hp 1.5 TSI engine with a 7-speed DSG gear for 43,000 euros. With its strong 1.5 TSI engine, the Volkswagen Taigo Style 1.5 TSI accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and peaks at 212 km/h.
The Volkswagen Taigo coupe-SUV is also available in an R-Line variant, enhancing the model's dynamic design expression. A front bumper distinguishes the Taigo R-Line with distinctive air intakes and styling features in high-gloss black, which, combined with the broad and unique radiator grille, creates a powerful look. The rear bumper has integrated exhaust pipes with a chrome border and a high-gloss black diffuser, and the stunning 18"Misano alloy wheels round off the Taigo R-sporty Line's aesthetic appeal. The inside has Sport comfort seats with R-Line seat fabric and a black roof canopy, and a dashboard with design inlays in anodized matte gray hue. It strikes a good mix between exclusive and sporty.
The Volkswagen Taigo R-Line is available with a 110 hp 1.0 TSI engine and 6-speed manual gearbox for 39,700 euros, as well as a 7-speed DSG gear for 42,300 euros, and the top model Taigo R-Line 1.5 TSI with 150 horsepower and 7-speed DSG gear for 45,000 euros.
